Not sure if its doing the same as that but I made up a stick with two magnets and capped it in brass sheet as a fence as I have no fence of any sort on my medium bandsaw with 20 inch wheels. If the wheels and/or tires are crowned then adjusting position of blade on tires with the tracking adjustment will change alignment. make sure the teeth of the blade go in the slot so they do not kick the bandsaw buddy off to the side.

Turns out trying to level a machine like this for troubleshooting, you need have the thing in the middle of the floor. A steel ruler would be great, if you could actually find one that is flat, and has some thickness to it.Mine is VERY slightly curved as you can see in one fo the photos but it's an even curve so I can get away with it by simply looking at each end.
