You’ll be part of a community of dog owners who trust and rely on Forthglade for their furry friend’s well-being. On top of that, the foil pouches aren’t recyclable, which is a bummer in today’s eco-conscious world. We swear that the Pooch Pledge we serve is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. We care a LOT about our people, pets and planet and here’s some of what we’ve achieved:

How much to feed a puppy

If you’ve heated refrigerated wet dog food to raise it to room temperature, do NOT refrigerate after this; simply throw the leftovers away. The reason Forthglade is so popular is that it flat-out works. For one, it provides your dog with essential vitamins (including A, E and Biotin) and minerals to keep their teeth and bones strong, prevent injuries, and maintain a healthy, shiny coat. Try to store your unopened wet dog food in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight - such as in a dedicated food cupboard or pantry or even in a basement or garage. This food is formulated with no added artificial flavours, colours or preservatives, with no grain, cereal or gluten and with non-GM produce. It is important that you feed your puppy a puppy specific food, as they have nutritional needs to help them grow and develop optimally, puppies grow at 20 times the rate of an adult dog so its really important to fuel your pup properly.

Let them apres-ciate December with 24 days of door opening, revealing melt-in-the-mouth Cheese Fondue Meaty Treats. Mmmm yes cheese. Toy breeds never grow more than 5kg and tend to reach their adult weight by six to nine months of age. The amount of food they require gradually increases until they are 4 months old. At this stage, they are not growing as rapidly as before so need a little less. Meals must be spaced over at least 3-4 meal times as their small stomachs cannot hold much food. Beware over-feeding your toy breed as they hit the six month mark. Many will start to refuse food at this stage, indicating their appetite has naturally decreased. This is to be expected and is not a cause for concern. Raw dog food is based on what dogs may have eaten in the wild, before they were domesticated. Usually it consists of raw muscle meat, organs, bones, raw eggs, dog-safe fruit and vegetables, and yoghurt. It can be home prepared or bought from a store freeze-dried or dehydrated, to save dog owners the trouble of sourcing and adequately preparing all of these raw foods themselves. If you are changing your dogs food we recommend that you introduce the new food gradually. Start by replacing 25% of their existing food for the first 2-3 days, then 50% for a further 2-3 days, then 75% for a final 2-3 days.
