Liquids and iPhone don't mix well. I know that there's lots of stories about rice working, and almost every other repair company talks about fixing liquid damaged devices. We want to be honest with you up front. Nobody can guarantee that an electronic device, which has been wet, will work perfectly again. It can be fine for weeks and then fail out of the blue. The best advice we can give is to get any important data off the device — things like photos — and then move to a new iPhone. The first step is to install the board into your JC-V1 this is a reasonably simple process all you need to do is remove the existing board by lifting it from the device. Once removed fit the new board this should clip into place

In a blog post, iCorrect explains why Face ID is disabled on the iPhone 13 when replacing the screen and also gives context ever since Apple introduce this technology with the iPhone X: Connect the phone to the computer and open the WL assistance software. The cover board number of the phone has been read automatically. Continue to power off and disconnect the phone from the computer. Take apart the phone and disconnect the battery. Remove the aftermarket screen afterwards. From our research, the iPhone communicates with the screen through a microchip embedded on the screen. This screen microchip is an integrated circuit (an assembly of electronic components fabricated into a single unit) responsible for translating your analog touch (your finger pressing on your screen creating an analog signal) to a digital signal (for your iPhone to understand as your iPhone is a mini-computer and doesn’t understand analog signals) If you need to replace your iPhone display, it's important fora trained technician who uses genuine Apple display parts to repair it. This “True Tone” function has improved people convenience to using their phone friendly especially at night time. This function allows the smartphones to adjust screen display white light with change of external environment, automatically. So iPhone display does change with hot or cold environment, in latest iPhone models. These models are:

Importance of service by trained technicians using genuine Apple displays

He then suggested that there are some workarounds like other parts to the new screen, but that most repair shops wouldn’t do that because it’s “too sophisticated.” Please see video below of the JC V1 data transfer. After you have followed this guide, install the new screen to your device.

With that in mind, iCorrect, a UK third-party repair shop, proved that it’s possible to replace the iPhone 13 screen without losing Face ID, but, indeed, it’s a very sophisticated process.

People are using smartphones more than ever. iPhone users needed a function that can give them relieve in terms of reducing eye strains. We use iPhone in night time or closed room or open space, white light does play important role to increase discomfort level with “True Tone” new function, Apple introduced in 2017. Disconnect the battery and remove the original screen. Continue to remove the front panel sensor assembly flex cable. And install the detached cable to the new aftermarket screen. Get the aftermarket screen installed and press the power button to turn on the phone.

beekerc I can't really speak with any authority on the wifi issue, but given what you've said, it does sound like you may have to unhide one of your SSIDs. It may be that you can hide it again once you've connected the wifi though. REWASelected multi-functional programmer can restore true tone with/without the help of an original screen. Professional repair skill or experience is not a must-have with this magical tool. It is therefore a beginner-friendly repair tool for those in need. Lost or degraded functionof the ambient light sensor, causing the screen to dim or brighten incorrectly There seem to be two programmers that are popular with repair people; I have the Qian Li iCopy programmer myself, and the other one is the JC V1s device. They will both do the basic True Tone data copying, along with things like resetting battery statistics and a few other things. I haven't verified this, but it appears the V1s may have a little more capability for programming certain features related to Face ID and Touch ID, but details are somewhat sketchy, so you'd definitely have to do your homework on that.

Degraded Multi-Touchperformance, such as missed screen touches or touches not registering in the right location For most customers, visiting a professional repair provider with certified technicians who use genuine Apple parts is the safest and most reliable way to get a repair. Theseproviders include Apple and Apple Authorized Service Providers, and Independent Repair Providers, who have access to genuine Apple parts.*Repairs performed by untrained individuals using nongenuine parts might affect the safety of the device or functionality of the display. Apple displays are designed to fit precisely within the device. Additionally, repairs that don't properly replace screws or cowlings might leave behind loose parts that could damage the battery, cause overheating, or result in injury. We’ve tested it, and it’s true: iOS 15.2 stops Face ID from malfunctioning after you replace the screen on an iPhone 13, outside their official repair channels. I'm not so sure about a workaround for the display; if I recall correctly you may have to unsolder a chip from the old display and solder it onto the replacement. I'm afraid you may be conflating two separate issues here. The annoying alert as you mention is presumably the one that says the phone can't tell if the screen is a genuine Apple part or not. Starting with the iPhone 11, Apple started pairing screens to the logic board and that warning is what happens when it sees a screen that isn't paired to it. Since only Apple can do that pairing, anyone who isn't Apple that replaces a screen will get that warning. It's my understanding that the pop-up warning will go away after a couple of weeks or so, but the badge on the setup app is permanent.

We’ll have to do a similar reassessment when Apple offers parts, manuals, and tools to anyone who wants them for recent iPhones in early 2022. We’ve yet to see official prices or procedures, but this is more than most smartphone companies offer (minus one very notable exception). Even if Apple has strict ideas about what counts as “repair,” allowing anyone to buy parts, manuals, and specialty tools—and presumably access the software needed to prevent an “Important Message” on your phone—are core pieces of the right to repair campaign. When we covered the original Phone Repair Guru video, he said that even when you replace your iPhone 13 screen for another original display, a message saying “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple display” appeared. The iPhone 12 Mini was discontinued on September 7, 2022, after the introduction of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. The JC V1 is a tool used in the mobile device repair industry to transfer screen serial data from the original screen to a new screen; this will keep many of the original features used on today’s iPhones. Many repair techs in the industry use this tool to restore data from previous repair works which have not included this feature and new repairs. In this how-to guide, we’ll cover how to use the JC V1 to fix True Tone on your device, and how to upgrade the board to allow the tool to support the new iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. How do I use the JC V1 to take data from one screen and transfer to a new screen?

Technically there is a way to get rid of that warning, which is to move the touch module IC from the original display to the replacement. It's a very difficult and delicate operation and probably isn't worth it, to be honest. Outside of that, paying Apple to replace the screen is the only other way to get rid of that warning; screen replacement on the 12 models is available on the self repair program, but you still have to buy the screen from Apple for full price and rent their equipment to do the job. sotiriskonst Yes, the iPhone 11 will have pairing issues. Apple started pairing parts after the X. On the 11 if you change the battery you'll get a message that it may not be genuine and you lose your battery health indications from Settings, but the battery will work correctly. Same with the screen; you will get a non-genuine part warning and I believe you will lose True Tone. Elsewhere, in the “About” section of Settings, you can see the new “ Parts and Service History” that details the concerns Apple has about Unknown Parts in your phone. It states that “Apple has updated the device information for this iPhone.” You may ask what True Tone is and why is it essential? The True Tone function on the iPhone 8 and upwards allows the screen to have better colour to match that of the original screen, without the True Tone function, the colours will not be as good as what you’d expect with an original screen. How can I use the JC-V1 to enable truetone after I have lost the function from a previous screen repair?
