The first event takes place this Thursday 15th June and sees Sakawah Boys, Circe and Yaz León take to the stage… Heading into July, the festival will embrace another British institution – Wimbledon – with the screen in The Scoop showing all of the key matches. Evie loved the house. The bright, sunny rooms looking across the river. The terraced gardens with fruit trees growing against the high stone walls. The scent of lavender at the end of a hot day. It was a family house.

A public art trail of 56 magnificent giant Morph sculptures will keep the kids (and the kids inside us) entertained as we race around the area trying to find them all. Although a newcomer to the industry, Yaz León has proven to be a rising talent already having gained support from Wonderland, Notion, Wordplay, and other prominent magazines. In 2020León was selected by Selector Radio for the British Council to showcase the UK new music scene internationally, signaling an international career is just around the corner for this new talent. Cross the pedestrian bridge connecting Windsor and Eton and join one of Eton College's seasonal Heritage Tours taking place on Fridays afternoons until September. Their programme of guided tours focuses on the historic heart of Eton College, featuring many of the earliest buildings and objects from the College Collections Summer outdoor 'al fresco' dining in the Windsor areaThis is a book about friendship, expectations, loss and love. I struggled with this book for several reasons. One was the main character Evie, and her casual attitude towards affairs. She has over the years had affairs with two already married men, Russell and later, Tommy. Tommy is affectionately known as TDF, which is cringe worthy when the reader learns what the letters stand for. The setting of this book is beautiful but I found the characters shallow and some of them added nothing to the story. I could not relate to any of them. This book features quite a cast of people, and if I’d been reading just a couple of chapters each evening, as I usually do, I think I would have become very confused. It’s not as if they’re people from former books by Marcia Willett, and they're introduced individually, with connections that don't become clear until quite a way into the book.
