RSL for 9+ years. One solution I have found, its a family thing, is a medication that most doctors do not think of. Carbidopa/Levodopa (25mg/100mg) is what was prescribed to an uncle about 12 years ago. When my RLS began, I started on it and find that as long as I take it on a regular schedule, it is effective most of the time.
