The Lightning Tower (Short Story) (Collected in Horus Heresy Chapbook (Anthology), Shadows of Treachery (Anthology), and Crusade + Other Stories (Anthology)) The Battle of Guadalcanal: Land and Sea Warfare in the South Pacific (By: Larry Hama,Anthony Williams) Eisenhorn is the first in a series of trilogies and separate novels by Abnett, which are some of the most popular works of Warhammer 40,000 tie-in fiction. [2] The series follows the inquisitors Gregor Eisenhorn and Gideon Ravenor and their retinue as they hunt heretics and demons, [1] while attempting not to succumb to Chaos – the archenemy of mankind in the setting – in the process. Eisenhorn has been adapted as a video game, and is set to be adapted as a television series. Eisenhorn meets the Horus Heresy! Well, sort of. There’s certainly a lovely link here – the ‘Keeler’ part of the title will be familiar to most Heresy fans – but it’s very much its own story too, as a post- Hereticus Eisenhorn attends an unconventional auction and finds himself caught up in the action. Not only does this have one of my all-time favourite story titles, but it’s also one of my favourite Eisenhorn stories. It’s essentially a paranormal investigation story, as Eisenhorn and Alizebeth look into the suspicious death of an old friend, and its low-key location and style lend it a quiet, personal tone that’s really satisfying.Mandragore Carrion is a terrifying champion of the Emperor’s Children, standing two-and-a-half metres tall even without the horned helmet. Eisenhorn’s no slouch, but he’s only human – how will he cope with this looming monster? You’ll have to read the book to find out…** Eisenhorn is a trilogy of science fantasy / crime [1] novels by the British writer Dan Abnett, set in the fictional universe of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game.

Bringing The Warhammer Down: Dan Abnett on Warhammer 40K: The Damnation Crusade, Newsarama, December 22, 2006 The unexpected fourth part of the trilogy, The Magos is both an anthology collecting together all (well, almost all) of the short stories in one place, and a short-ish novel in its own right. It’s sort of a bridging novel between the other Eisenhorn books and the Bequin series, and heavily features Magos Drusher as well. It’s also the only one of the Eisenhorn novels to not be told from Gregor’s POV. Whitbrook, James (17 July 2019). "The Creator of Man in the High Castle Is Bringing Warhammer 40,000 to Live-Action TV". io9 . Retrieved 18 July 2019.was a great year for Inquisition fans, with this second novel coming hot on the heels of Xenos. It skips ahead a fair few decades further into Eisenhorn’s career, taking the characters out of their comfort zones, ramping up the danger and the tension in that classic second-novel fashion. By this point you can start to see the changes that Eisenhorn goes through over the course of his career, while it also introduces the character of Gideon Ravenor who would go on to big things himself. Inquisitor Eisenhorn faces a vast interstellar cabal and the dark power of daemons, all racing to recover an arcane text of abominable power - an ancient tome known as the Necroteuch. Transformers: Aspects of Evil (By: Staz Johnson,Simon Furman,Andrew Wildman,Simon Coleby,Geoff Senior) Ten kdo má rád nápadité světy, dekadentní prostředí, kde ztráty milionů lidí nic neznamená, ale zároveň řád v chaosu si přijde na své. Jen bych dal více humoru hlavní postavě (ty zápletky si o to přímo koledují:) a určitě lepší vysvětlení celého světa a jeho historie.Thorn Wishes Talon (Short Story) (2004, also collected in What Price Victory (Anthology) and The Hammer and the Eagle: Icons of Warhammer (Anthology)) K Warhammeru nemám zvláštny vzťah, ale od knižného spracovania očakávam high-tech rezaninu(gulatinu), náboženský fanatizmus, dogmatizmus, ortodoxiu, sektárstvo a medziskupinový konflikt, čiže vlastne históriu moderného človeka, len pekných pár tisícročí neskôr. Justice League, Volume 5: The Doom War (By: Tom Napolitano,Jorge Jimenez,Scott Snyder,Hi-Fi,James Tynion IV,Daniel Sampere,Francis Manapul,Howard Porter,Bruno Redondo,Juan Albarran,Alejandro Sanchez) The following information is not to be regarded as officially sanctioned and/ or is not written from an in-universe point of view. A detailed explanation of the term "Trivia" as used in the Lexicanum can be found here. The last of the three shorts to have originally been an audio drama, this is very much a Ravenor story but ties in very closely with the Eisenhorn stories too. Fans of the series will probably be able to figure out the gist of things from the title (depending on their grasp of Glossia), but suffice to say it involves a mysterious meeting on a dark and stormy night, with enemies all around.A direct sequel to the first novel, this fits in nicely between Xenos and Malleus and shows a little bit of what Eisenhorn and the gang got up to after their first major adventure. It’s perhaps not one of the most crucial short stories to read in context of the wider series, but it offers a nice look at the emotional cost of life in service of the Inquisition. M41: After years of pursuit, Gregor Eisenhorn has finally run Murdin Eyclone to ground on Hubris, inside the enormous cryonic vaults where the majority of the planet's elites spend the nine-month winter season. Eyclone manages to kill Eisenhorn's retainer, Lores Vibben, but Eisenhorn corners him in one of the vaults and shoots him dead with Vibben's pistol, though not before Eyclone has triggered a systemic failure of several hundred stasis cells, killing their inhabitants.
