Very fascinating the story is potentially inspired by their experiences. I have to say, when I read the novel, I kept wondering which characters were based on real-life celebrities. The authors said that they were inspired to write the story after staying on Osea-Island, a privately-owned island catered to celebrities. What elements of Island Home and the Home Group do you think are based on real-life counterparts?

In case you don’t know me, here is a gif featuring a cuter version of myself that sums things up in a nutshell . . . . Ellery Lloyd is the pseudonym used by a husband and wife, Collette Lyons and Paul Viltos. Paul is the writer of two previous novels named Every Day is Like Sunday and Welcome to the Working Week. He’s the English Literature with Creative writing program director at Surrey University. The nameless stalker: a person who is obsessed with “mamabare” and has a personal vendetta against her. She is plotting to take her down. Emmy must suffer as she has suffered. But why? The why and how she does so ramps up the tension and makes for riveting reading. Polly; Emmy's friend who isn't an Insta presence but is an old friend, bridesmaid, supportive person etc was a wonderful character. She had too little space. I really wanted a bit more of Polly. At the end, she was reduced to 'the person who screams at Emmy the bad effects of social media'. I wish she had more purpose.Perfect for readers of twisty novels and star-studded casts, THE CLUB is a glitzy, glamorous thriller with a dark and deadly mystery at its heart. If you’re ready for an escape from domestic suspense, plan your next trip to Island Home." People adore her for how honest and relatable she is. Before she knew it, her fans began loving to hear motivational speaking about how the negative things are always worth it with her beautiful babies. This was quite an entertaining read for me. The characters were very interesting, their different motives were fascinating. The atmosphere and the setting both were superb. The pacing is the only downside of the story. I think the authors (Husband & Wife) did a pretty good job.

Written with ruthless detail, The Club is a startling dissection of celebrity culture, masterfully told.” The Home Group is a glamorous collection of celebrity members' clubs dotted across the globe, where the rich and famous can party hard and then crash out in its five-star suites, far from the prying eyes of fans and the media. In an interview with the Daily Gazette Standard, the couple talked about how they had stayed at the Osea Island, which is a privately-owned island frequented by A-list stars. Between that and what Collete witnessed of celebrities when she worked at Soho House, they thought a private members’ club would be a great setting for a mystery. As tempers fray and behavior worsens, as things get more sinister by the hour and the body count piles up, some of Island Home’s members will begin to wish they’d never made the guest list. I was hooked to this book not so much on the story but how topical this in and relevant in this day and age.The ambition of Island Home, combined with Ned’s reputation for perfectionism, has led to numerous delays in the club’s opening, and tensions are at an all-time high by the time the three-day launch party arrives. Everything must be perfect, and it requires a whole team of people to ensure that the launch is a success. I could write an extended social commentary piece about this thing to rival an old college paper, but alas, I will save you all the long-winded pretentiousness and outright boredom and just say this: Add to these five beleaguered characters some colorful, quirky celebrities and an island setting, and you have the makings of a perfect getaway. Or murder. The Home Group is a collection of ultra-exclusive private members’ clubs and a global phenomenon, and the opening of its most ambitious project yet – Island Home, a forgotten island transformed into the height of luxury – is billed as the celebrity event of the decade.
