I thought the line I woke up in a novel was something you only read, well, in novels. Until I woke up in one myself. Storyline: A handsome, selfish noble falls for a beautiful, kind commoner -- at least, that’s how the story’s supposed to go. When an average college student wakes up as Ripley, an extra in her favorite romance novel, she resolves to enjoy the luxuries of her character’s status while watching the novel's plot unfold from the sidelines.

Todo parece ir bien hasta que, en una fiesta, Ripley bebe un poco de más y se despierta a la mañana siguiente en la cama del duque. The romance is pretty shallow (she's the first to be kind to him so he's devoted to her, and why wouldn't she like him), but it's nice to see two characters love and care for each other so it's not bad.

Prince Sharman

Men Are Childish: Zeronis often acts like a clingy boy when it comes to Ripley. One of the best ways to get on his good side is to frequently compliment him or Ripley. Ripley herself calls him ‘adorable’ when he acts like this and compares the younger Prince Chris to him (to his displeasure). Fiery Redhead: Ripley is loud, outgoing, and regularly explodes whenever things go wrong. Zeronis is heavily into that. Apparently, I drank way too much champagne last night. When I was a freshman, I had hangovers all the time because I didn’t know my limits, but things like this usually didn’t happen anymore. I must have really had a blast yesterday. No, we should have stopped! I had no idea what was happening, but we definitely should have stopped!

Holy cow—Ripley sure had a good pedigree for a side character. She was the daughter of a count, for heaven’s sake! Even the heroine was only the daughter of a baron. While I mainly touched on the reasons this isn't a ten - the art, comedy, and likeable characters make this an overall good read. Yandere: Was this way towards Etoile in the original story; he didn’t love so much as he desired her in a twisted, obsessive way. With Ripley, he’s still possessive and prone to jealousy, but Ripley figures out how to get around his “obsessive hero” mode (mostly through flattery and affirmations). Art, (7 / 10): The quality was solid with a pastel tone that gives certain scenes a “watercolor & ink” vibe at times. Vacation Episode: The side story takes place in the neighboring country of Archen (briefly mentioned during the main story) where Ripley and Zeronis are having their honeymoon. Major characters like Etoile and Wright do not make an appearance. No he leído muchos manhwas con reencarnaciones, pero dentro de mi corta experiencia puedo decir que este es de los mejores que he leído.

Although I knew it was a cliché novel, I was totally obsessed with it. I had binge-read the entire thing many times. But there was no Ripley in that story.

so the main draw is from the characters and how they play with the meta without it getting too complicated and contradicting the characters’ motives. Death Glare: One of his favorite expressions. Either you’ve done something bad and now he’s going to punish you, or Lord Wright is with Ripley again (it’s always a misunderstanding though). The main protagonist. She’s a 22 year old college student who found herself in the body of a count’s daughter, and an extra in the novel she was reading. Excited to watch the novel come to life, she instead has a drunken one-night stand with the male lead, Zeronis, and ends up engaged to him due his insistence on her “taking responsibility”.
