I was constantly guessing and questioning myself about who was behind what and when everything was revealed I was absolutely shocked and had been completely wrong about everything! Just before their father’s death, three young girls make him a promise: they will stay together no matter what. The book includes themes of rape, death, divorce, and sexual harassment allegations however the execution is poor on all fronts. In addition, some of the scenes with Damian and the business take-over were prolonged and whilst it showed a different side to the struggling Lewis, I switched off a fair amount because it was detracting from the three sisters… kind of what I was expecting this book to just be about.

Heather Morris tells the three sister's stories of hardship, love, courage, determination, and strength. When they are little girls, Cibi, Magda and Livia make a promise to their father – that they will stay together, no matter what.As with Morris’ other two books, the story is true and was created with the help of many interviews.

Based on true events, sisters Cibi, Magda and Livi share a promise to their father that they will always look out for one another. From reading the blurb, I was expecting this to be about the revenge act, but instead, there are a lot of other things that feed into this narrative and I consequently felt bored by how long the main plot development was happening. Añado, que la autora fue elegida por las hermanas y su familia para escribir esta historia, después de que algunos familiares leyeran el tatuador de Auschwitz, todo esta explicado en las notas finales de la autora. They supported Heather in telling their story even though it was such an emotional rollercoaster reliving the evil period that they endured.

I couldn’t tell if the author forgot what had just happened before or if it was supposed to be purposeful for a certain reason that I couldn’t figure out. Recommend to fans of Historical Fiction, WWII survival and anyone who wants to learn about these amazing sisters. I remember coming home one afternoon to see my safta speaking to a stranger, with tears in her voice, immortalising her story into a camera; and being scared and curious, and not knowing what to do or say. Hell had escaped its moorings and risen to earth in the shape of Auschwitz and Birkenau and all the other camps, .

Here, where Ema stood, on one side of the fence, was the stench of death, murder and misery, yet ‘on the other side there was life and freedom. They discovered that the attitudes of the Slovs toward Jews had not changed much since the end of the war.I liked how the author ran with the theme of, ‘jumping to conclusions’ , and seeing how far the characters would take their strongly held beliefs about someone or a situation, regardless of the consequences; regardless of the facts. Heather Morris interviewed and spent quality time with many members of the sister’s family and with each sister so that their story could be told in its entirety. Three Sisters unveils a different, yet equally brutal side to the I am a Native of New Zealand now resident in Australia, working in a large public hospital in Melbourne. When I’ve read books about the Holocaust, I find myself reading in disbelief because it is still so hard to believe that these atrocities happened and did so in the recent past, yet there is no doubt they did.
